So how much fat should someone eat?

No sure answer there.  The association between serum levels of fatty acids and disease does not in itself establish causality.

Which is part of why, saying “no saturated fat“, or “dont eat meat“, is not an answer.

There are many contributing factors in the fat debate, such as if one drinks alcohol, if one eats processed grains, and the like.   Genetics can play a role, but as one ages, its mostly lifestyle.

Then there is the type of saturated fat .. Factory Farm or Grass Fed, margarine or real butter, and the like.   For herein lies the largest difference in health – the ‘devil in the details’, so to speak.

Bottom line, the human body needs it for health.   How much one eats is based on the individual.

My rule of thumb: Everything in moderation, including moderation.
